The woven aluminum baskets are of recent creation and are inspired in palm baskets,
using the same weave but utilizing contemporary metal.
This technique of weaving aluminum is found in pieces of varied forms and sizes. |

- The sheets of aluminum are cut into strips 5 millimeters wide.
- In order for each strip to obtain more shine, it is individually scraped with sandpaper.
- When the strips are ready, they are joined together to form a type of structure that will be used to shape the desired piece.
- Once all the strips are joined, the desired form is achieved by hammering it against a wooden base.
- When the piece is done, the other accessories, such as a beveled edge, cover, knob or handles, are added.
- Finally, the product is washed with soap and water.
